The Challenge
The quote above was taken from Business Week, with the title of the article being, "The Print Media Are Doomed." The article notes that it is inarguable that print media is dying and will eventually die, what the article debates is the pro's and con's of this pending death.
For small businesses, it's all pro's!
It use to be that money bought message and while the digital side of marketing isn't free, it is with in the grasp of a small business and can scale with company growth.
The Solution
The answer is more than going digital for digital sake. The world has moved from being talked "at" to be talked "with." It isn't about interrupting people on the internet like it is on TV or radio. That actually is unnatural and creates quite a bit of backlash.
It's about engaging people who are looking for you, your product or service and having a conversation.
