Jetblue Reminds Us We Can Keep Marketing Light Hearted
There are many times when I feel like I have to be “professional” when writing blogs or putting together marketing ads. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m 30 and often feel like I need to act like a grown up; it could be that I do have the tendency to come of sarcastic at times.
In any case, Jet Blue is a company that lets its advertising reflect who they are and has always had a different approach to doing business. Take a look at an ad they recently put out (ad one in a series of three).
Here are some take aways:
- Keep your marketing relevant and tie in the key headlines of the times as they attach well to peoples feelings and sentiments.
- Staying on this same thought, by keeping current affairs in mind, it will help when being searched for.
- With all the boring companies out there, stand apart with some humor and whit.
- Call a spade a spade. Be the company telling the truth and point the frauds, even if it makes you a mark.
As a side note, Jet Blue does things a bit different. Don’t be afraid of being the trend setter. Sure, it can be risky, but being the inovator or trend setter has its rewards.
