Social Media, What’s Your Success Story?

Filed under: Social Media / Networking — John Garrett @ 8:48 pm

Look anywhere, from the nightly news to the business section of Barnes & Noble. Social Media is all the rage and is worth the press it is getting, no doubt – well, accept Ad Agencies. I kid! I kid! (@griner gets it, really.Lucky is, well… Lucky to have him! Ya, my humor is that bad.)

This blog isn’t about whether or not your business SHOULD be leveraging social media and networking to further your message and more importantly, to connect with your market, it’s about the success stories. Everyone has a “reason” for getting involved, a motive. For some, it’s about size: @aplusk. For some, it’s about relationship building and connectivity as @chris_hodges from the fastest growing church in America.

For me, personally, I’ve gained some honest to goodness relationships that I eat lunch with, have introduced to my family, have done business with, corporately network with and even am letting crash at my place while they are in town for a conference. I’ve sold! I love the relationship and from a sales perspective, I don’t cold call…. EVER! After then years of sales, I just don’t need it anymore!

I’m @garrett98 and I love networking in the digital world, especially when it translates to the physical one!

So, what is your angle? What is your motive? What are your success stories? And who should I connect with?
